On the first weekend of March the 10th will be German. Tag Archives organized. This year he is entitled “Communication: From the Depesche to the Tweet”. Several hundred archives in Germany open the doors to their treasury chambers and show their work with historical documents.
Events in the Bayerischer Hauptstaatsarchiv:
- “Post from the past” - Presentation of outstanding archival sources in the reading room (for full hour each)
- Research in the Bavarian Main State Archive
- “What is it?” – reading and interpretation aid for private documents brought along; together with Stenographer-Zentralverein Gabelsberger e. V. in Munich for documents in the German unit shortcut or in the shortwriting system Gabelsberger.
- From the registrature to the archive – Takeover, development and preservation of documents from the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen
- Short presentations:
- Presentation of the estate directory (11 and 2 pm)
- Provenance Research/NS Art Screw (12 and 3 pm)
- Guided tours through the restoration workshop (10.30 / 12.30 / 15.30) REQUIREMENTS
- „Archivgut auf 35 mm – Das Programm der Bundessicherungsverfilmung“ (guides through the photo workshop 10.30 / 13.00 / 15.00)
Exhibition of the Bavarian Archive School
- "Bayern and Poland in the first half of the 20. Century. Hitting lights on an alternating relationship”, all day, additional guided tours at 11:30 and 14:30

- Stenographer-Zentralverein Gabelsberger e. V. in Munich with reading and interpretation aid for accompanying documents (program "What is it?")
