Protocol
The following access data is stored for each access to the web server of the Bavarian State Archives:

The stored data is required exclusively for technical (identification and tracking of impermissible access attempts and accesses to the web server) or internal statistical purposes.After at the latest seven days, the data is anonymized by shortening the IP address at domain level, so that it is no longer possible to make a reference to individual users. The statistical evaluation carried out after anonymization is carried out exclusively by employees of the state archives of Bavaria. A different use, a comparison with other data stocks or a transfer to third parties, even in extracts, does not take place. Personal evaluation does not take place.
Cookies
Cookies can be used in the information offer of the Bavarian State Archives. Cookies are text files that your web browser stores on your computer. This is so-called. Session cookies. You will be removed again when you finish the browser. The purpose of storing the data is to record the last status of the respective session with its form contents, the entries of the wishlist and the search results. This data is deleted except for the anonymous session ID and duration of access, with the termination of the session. Session ID and duration are used exclusively for internal anonymized statistical purposes. After their evaluation, the stored data are deleted.

E-mails
E-mails that you send to the Bavarian State Archives are only used for correspondence with you. The mail address and the information contained are not used in any other way or passed on to third parties and deleted after they are no longer required for fulfilling tasks.

Insofar as data processing by the Directorate-General of the Bavarian State Archives takes place within the framework of our social media events, your personal data will be processed within the framework of our public responsibilities (Art. 4 para. 1 Bavarian Data Protection Act – BayDSG i.V. m. Based on the Directorate-General of the Bavarian State Archives, the data provided under our social media appearances are only processed for the purpose of own public relations.
