The website of the Bavarian State Archives enjoys copyright protection. This applies in particular to texts, images, graphics, sound, video or animation files and publications. Unless otherwise indicated, the content of the website is under the license CC-BY-NC-SA. The content may be downloaded, reused and forwarded free of charge for non-commercial purposes under the conditions that the name of the author is specified and no further restrictions are made in the event of post-use (submission under the same conditions).

2. Development information of the finder database

To the extent they enjoy copyright protection, the development information in the online finder database is under the license CC0 and may be downloaded, reused and forwarded free of charge as far as technically possible.

3. Online digitalisate

Some of the digitalisates published in our database enjoy copyright protection. The Bavarian State Archives have the corresponding rights of use and place these digitalisates under the license CC0. They may be downloaded, used and passed on free of charge as far as technically possible. Incidentally, the published digitalisates are publicly free (Public Domain Mark) and may be downloaded, reused and forwarded free of charge.

Exceptionally existing restrictions are indicated separately. In the case of any use of the published digitalisate, a proof of the storage archive and the archive signature shall be provided.

We ask for a free document copy to be sent. In the event of an electronic publication, we ask for free transmission of the file, if necessary with indication of the Internet address of the publication.

The protection of rights of persons affected or third parties, in particular copyright, data protection law and general and postmortal personal rights, is the responsibility of the user.
