The Directorate-General for State Archives of Bavaria supports the consortium NFDI4Memory as participant. The consortium combines a wide range of historically working humanities as well as other disciplines that use historical data methodically, and preserving institutions such as libraries, museums, archives and infrastructure facilities. The aim is a new knowledge order for the digital future of the past. The commitment of the Bavarian State Archives Directorate-General focuses on the Data Quality, Data Connectivity and Data Literacy Task Areas. In addition, the introduction of archive competences is intended to promote the FAIR principle (FAIR = Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) in research data management.
