Specialist for media and information services (FaMI), specialising in archives

Since 1 June 2008, the Directorate-General of the Bavarian State Archives has also been responsible for the training of specialists in media and information services, subject of archives. In this position, it is responsible for monitoring practical training in the individual training archives and for the theoretical training at the Munich School of Media Professionals. The examination order is currently being prepared.

The training itself takes place in a non-governmental archivist, i.e. the training contract is concluded with the corresponding municipal or ecclesiastical archive or the archive of another public institution.

The Examination Regulation for the implementation of final and retraining examinations in the recognised training profession specialist for media and information services / specialist for media and information services in the field Archive in the public service in Bavaria is on 1st December 2011.
