Teaching exhibitions at the Bavarian Archive School

Lehrausstellungen 2026 01

As an integral part of their training, candidates for preparatory service for entry into the third qualification level of the education and science career path, specializing in archiving, at the University of Public Service in Bavaria develop teaching exhibitions (§35 FachV-Arch). The conception, development, and organization of these exhibitions, which are usually on display for six weeks in the wall showcases in the stairwell of the Bavarian Main State Archives, are included in the final grade. The accompanying scientific booklet, the selection of exhibits, and the conception of the exhibition are evaluated in the same way as a thesis. The accompanying booklets are available free of charge during the exhibition and are not published. Due to high demand far beyond the respective exhibition period, the accompanying booklets will be made available for download online in the future.
