Archival Journal (ISSN 0003-9497)

Founded in 1876 and published by the Royal Bavarian General Imperial Archives, since 1921 the Bavarian Main State Archives; published since 1972 by the General Directorate of the Bavarian State Archives.

The Archivalische Zeitschrift cultivates German and international archival science in all its branches, including source studies and historical auxiliary sciences, insofar as these relate to archival materials. The journal is published in annual volumes. Manuscripts should only be sent to the editorial office after prior consultation.
